The Formula to Success

Spoiler: There’s no formula.
Success is not some universal equation where you follow steps A, B, and C and voila, you’ve "made it."
It's personal. You define it. And you chase it in your own way.
But if you want to know how to tilt the odds in your favor—let’s talk.

Obsession
This is what separates the athletes from the pack.
Obsession is not glamorous. It’s not romantic. It’s not a hobby. It’s a force. A commitment you can’t switch off. No moderation. No balance. Just a fire that can’t be extinguished.
You can’t trick it. You can’t fake it.
It has to be real.
Push the chips all in.
When you’re obsessed, everything else follows—resilience, adaptability, knowledge, motivation. These are the byproducts. The obsessed are willing to give up everything—every comfort, every excuse—to make it.
Obsession is the foundation of excellence. It’s the price of excellence. And it’s rare.
Most people dabble. They go through the motions. They play. But will you be the one who takes the different path?
The Appetite for Failure
Here’s a reality check: You will fail. You will get rejected. You will have seasons that feel like nothing’s working. Injuries can knock you down. You’ll get traded, move down lines. You’ll question everything.
None of that matters.
The only thing that matters is your response. Do you quit? Do you get comfortable in the loss? Or do you lean in, learn from it, and keep going?
Failure is just a tool. Get comfortable with it. Let it shape you.
Adaptability
The world changes. Environments shift. Coaches change. New challenges appear.
You can’t just stick to the same old script and hope for magic. You’ve got to adapt. New roles? Fine. New strategies? Great. A new body? Adjust. You will change, the world will change, and if you can’t change with it—you’ll be left behind.
Adaptability is survival.
Impatient with Action, Patience with Results
There’s no rushing the process. You’ll want to. You’ll get impatient with the timeline. But here's the thing—actions must be urgent. Results? They take time.
Impatient with action, patient with results.
Focus on what you can control now. Be obsessed with getting better today. But know that the outcome will come when it comes.
Unique Knowledge
You don’t get ahead by doing what everyone else is doing. The edge comes from your insights, your unique perspective. What you know that other’s don’t. About the mind, about the game, about your body, about strategy.
What’s the insight you’ve gained over the years that gives you an advantage? Knowledge, applied correctly, is your weapon.
In simpler terms...You don’t take no for an answer. You do everything necessary to get where you want to go. Period. No compromises. No excuses.
But let’s be clear—this doesn’t guarantee success. No one owes you anything. The world is indifferent to your effort. It’s unfair. It’s harsh. But here’s the kicker: if you embrace the process, if you give it everything—if you refuse to stop—success chases you.
Look around. Are you doing things that most others aren’t? Are your actions, habits, and thoughts different from the average?
Success is not for average people. Mediocre inputs produce mediocre results. Society breeds average. Extraordinary results demand an extraordinary process. You must be willing to take a different path. The one less travelled. The one that most won’t dare to follow.
